Swifts Creek Accommodation Services

Swifts Creek is nestled in the heart of the Tambo Valley on the south side of the Great Dividing Range. Half way between Bairnsdale and Mount Hotham, it is roughly four hours driving time from Melbourne.

Our accommodation, McMillan's, is the former State Electricity Commission Offices, which have been fully renovated.

We are able to offer both short and long term accommodation in varying formats, from a one bedroom motel style unit to a four bedroom unit that can sleep up to 15 people.
swiftsaccommOur prices are negotiable and depend on the number of guest and the duration of the stay, but our standard double rate is currently $100 per night.

Swifts Creek sits on the banks of the Tambo River and Swifts Creek. We are located in the centre of town, just a short walk to all the town attractions, including the award winning Albion Hotel and the historic 1886 wood fire oven in the local bakery.

Once a town known for its timber industry, Swifts Creek and adjoining Cassilis are now well-known hideaways for many talented artists and home to the very successful Great Alpine Gallery, which displays art, paintings and sculpture.
Named after a small Scottish township, Cassilis was once a thriving mining centre and home to some 1000 people. If you look closely enough you will still find some of the mining relics.

The Tambo Valley includes Bindi and Tongio and is the home of the historic Bindi Station and the Nullamunjie Olive Grove.
